By working with a tried and true block I’ve made a lot of recently and pulling fabrics from my stash,I was able to put together this 63” x 75” quilt rather quickly.

Finally put the finishing touches on this quilt with the completion of hand sewing the binding on.This one is 88” x 99” and is available on http://www.ebay.com. Search for “scrappy batik quilt”.

I’m working on another scrappy style quilt.This time I am using some 2 1/2” wide pre-cut strips from Island Batiks with a few strips from my stash added as well.This group they have named “Soul Song”. I’ve cut the strips into “logs” the lengths I need and have begun the sewing process.

A bunch of blocks are up on the design wall.I’ve put them on point,which is how this quilt is going to go together. I’m really liking these fun colors!

Just a bunch of scraps tucked away in boxes ended up turning into a lovely one of a kind quilt! The scraps in this quilt hold a lot of wonderful memories and they are now combined in one place. Looks like I’ll be keeping this one to treasure. The finished quilt measures 59” x 73”,a nice size for an afternoon nap.

While going through one of the many boxes of scraps I have,I found five of these blocks.The block is called “ Burgoyne Surrounded ” and has many small pieces.The littlest squares are 1” finished.I had started these years ago and had forgotten them. Since I’ve found them,I’ve made a few more blocks to add to what I had.

A pieced sashing has been added to bring the blocks together. I’m thinking this is going to end up having a piano key border.Looks like I’ll be diving back into those scrap boxes.
