This queen sized (88”x103”)Scrappy Pineapple quilt is a much larger version of the lap sized quilts already shown on this blog. I’ll leave out the details of how I made this quilt, but I will say that there are 3,460 little patches of fabric in all those blocks in the top. Wow! This quilt was requested by a person who bought a lap sized version of one of these quilts from me on eBay. It took longer than I expected to complete this one,but I enjoyed making it and just might make another some day.
I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
