Three Pineapples

I just love working with these civil war reproduction style fabrics.Such wonderful colors! The block pattern is an old time classic that has been working up well for me. Details on making these blocks can be seen on a previous post on this blog.The pineapple quilts I had made last year sold out quickly so I decided to make three more. All three of these have now sold on http://www.eBay.com. Guess I’ll have to plan on making some more!

Four Patch

In order to have a little variety of choices I made a different outer border for each one. I’m curious to see which quilt sells first! So far the most popular one has been the one with the four patch border. Turns out the four patch bordered one sold first! Each quilt was backed with the same off white with red print fabric typical of the era and all are quilted with the same edge to edge abstract design.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks,but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
