This fun quilt makes me laugh and brings back memories of my early attempts at quilt making. Back in the 1990’s I started a hobby I never thought would take me as far as it has. Fabric choices weren’t as plentiful as they are now, but I learned to work with what was available and chose simple blocks like ”monkey wrench” to practice on. These blocks were made way back then and were forgotten in a box of scraps. When I found them I was happy to finally put them all together and turn the ”un-finished object” into a 51”x65” large lap quilt which now is a keepsake of my quilting beginnings. My kitty Perchik enjoys it as well!

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks,but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
