I’m loving working with these 100% cotton Civil War Reproduction style fabrics, the palette is so colorful and warm. The first pineapple quilt sold quickly so I thought I’d make another one. This one was made the same as the first, only this time I changed the style of the outer border. This quilt also measures a nice lap size of 48”x64”. See “Scrappy Pineapple” on this blog for details in construction. This quilt sold the same day it was listed on http://www.eBay.com.
Different style borders
I quilted this one with a slightly different style of all over, edge to edge design with a taupe thread.
I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
