Himalaya

Tons of triangles! There are actually 2,040 triangles in this quilt. That’s including both the large white ones and all the little ones. I usually don’t make quilts with so much white fabric,but after seeing a similar antique quilt that was white with assorted colors,I thought I’d give it a try. I chose to work with an assortment of light and medium blues to set off the white. All those snow peaks and blue sky patches made me think of the Himalayas. To quilt this one I used an edge to edge all over swirls design,reminiscent of the swirling winds above the Himalayas. The white with light blue print backing compliments the front.
