The Bear Paw block is an all time favorite of mine. I decided to go with this classic pattern to celebrate another special guy in my life.
This 74” x 97” quilt was made using a combination of a light blue batik in the background and two cotton print fabrics for the paw patches and borders. An over all abstract quilting design completes the quilt.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
