A fun little seasonal quilt!
I used an assortment of green fabrics to give these trees character. Each tree has a randomly placed red triangle representing a “cardinal bird”. I placed the blocks on point so that the trees would be standing. The piano key border uses the same assortment of green fabrics. I included a very narrow red inner border which helps to make the “ birds “ stand out. I chose a random swirls quilting design and dark green thread to complete this quilt. This 54”x68”, large lap, size quilt sold via a private sale.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
