This quilt was commissioned by a long distance customer as a gift for a new baby boy. Thinking outside the usual “crib sized quilt” box, this one is a little bigger (62”x79”) with the intention it will go on a toddler bed or be used as a nap quilt when he gets a little older.
Color choices were made based on the favorite sports teams of the parents. I think this palate works great for a little guy! We then decided to go with a quilt pattern I’ve used before with this customer. The two blocks are set on point creating the desired affect.
The fun bubbles quilting pattern done in a navy thread adds interest to the over all look of the quilt. This was a fun quilt to make!
