Inspired by a guest speaker at a recent quilt guild meeting,I decided to raid my stash and make a Quilt of Valor to donate. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover every US service member and veteran touched by war with comforting and healing quilts. To find out more, please go to http://www.qovf.org to see what this great organization does and how you can help.
By working with a tried and true block I’ve made a lot of recently and pulling fabrics from my stash,I was able to put together this 63” x 75” quilt rather quickly.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
