While going through one of the many boxes of scraps I have,I found five of these blocks. The block is called “ Burgoyne Surrounded ” and has many small pieces. The littlest squares are 1” finished.I had started these years ago and had forgotten them. Since I’ve found them,I’ve made a few more blocks to add to what I had.

A pieced sashing has been added to bring the blocks together. I’m thinking this is going to end up having a piano key border.Looks like I’ll be diving back into those scrap boxes.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
