This quilt is being made using the “Hunter Star” block.I used templates to cut out the different odd shaped patches.I decided this time to step away from a scrappy look and only go with two fabrics in the blocks.I’ve chosen medium and dark blue batiks.
A few blocks up on the design board and the pattern is beginning to emerge.

I’m a work from home long arm quilter/quiltmaker.I learned to sew on my Nana’s treadle machine when I was around 8 yrs old but didn’t start making quilts til much later in life.I’m mostly self taught and have been making quilts for 30+ years.I enjoy making scrappy quilts and love working with batiks, but I have a fondness for antique reproduction fabrics as well.I tend to work with more traditional style block patterns but I put my own spin on them with use of fabric choices.I also do some pantograph quilting for people who want their tops finished into quilts.
